Adoption Application

To ensure the right pet to people match, both dogs and homes are carefully evaluated. Each dog is examined by a vet, spayed or neutered, vaccinated and the dog’s temperament is evaluated. Because of the medical expenses an adoption fee is required. No dog will be adopted out before they are spayed/neutered.

Adoption Fees
Dogs 2 yrs and under: $275
Adult Dogs 3-8 yrs: $250
Senior Dogs 9 yrs and up: $200

Adoption process
An adoption form will be filled out by prospective adopters
An adoption interview will be held
A home visit will be scheduled
The best home will be selected using the adopter selection guidelines
Adoption agreement will be signed and adoption fees paid before the pet can leave the foster home

The basic needs of a Cocker can cost from $600-800 a year for food, vaccinations and grooming. Is this a problem?

I certify that I am at least 21 years of age and that I will be the legal owner of and, solely responsible for the care and well-being of any dog I adopt from Second Chance Cocker Rescue.

Any misrepresentation of the true facts in this application or in the adoption agreement will invalidate the adoption agreement and give Second Chance Cocker Rescue the right to reclaim the adopted Cocker Spaniel without refund of the adoption fee.
